Darkstone Mailing List
We have a mailing list you might want to subscribe to if you decide to play LOTD. It is a fairly low bandwidth mailing list, with an average of about two or three messages per week.
The mailing list is now moderated, but there are a few rules you must follow.
No profanity
Since the list reaches such a wide group of people, you really never know what will offend someone. Please keep your language to a 'G' level.
Keep your discussions limited to LOTD
As soon as the topic starts to stray from LOTD, please take it off of the list.
No flame mail
This list is NOT the place to send flame mail messages. If your complaint is about a message sent to the list, send the flame to the author of the original message. If the complaint is about one of the players/immortals in the game, send the message to darkstone-imms@betterbox.net.
Flaming someone is not the same as criticism. If you have some ideas about someone's message, or if you think something they suggested will not work, then it's ok to say so. The main difference is your attitude. Keep it nice.
Stories and/or poems about the MUD
We love reading about the MUD, and welcome any and all stories about the MUD, or your character. Please let us know if you'd like them placed in the stories page.
Ideas or suggestions for the game
If you have ideas or suggestions about the game, be sure to forward them to the list! Sending them to the list lets the other players talk about them, and makes it more likely that they'll catch our attention.
