Chapter
1: The Beginning
It was a bright early morning in Windy Bluff. Many towns people had
awaken early to visit the shops and such.......
...Out in Erinswood, a dark elven spirit wandered the area in search
of someone's thoughts to feed off of. Without warning Jae, a mystical
Pixie Druid, entered from the trees. The spirit flew at her laying attack
after attack on the small creature. Jae hadn't become very strong and
was not as experienced in this type of fighting. As her wounds gre more
and more, she screamed out, in hope that someone would hear her.
Off in the distance, Noslen heard the scream. He had spent the night
in the forest and was packing up his things when he heard the scream.
The Trollish Commander took off running to see what the commotion was
about. As he arrived, he saw Jae was not well and could only hang on
for a so long. He sped up even faster, smashing into the spirit leaving
the ghost type creature stunned and confused. With one mighty slash
of the Trollish Wrath, Longsword of the Commander, the head of the spirit
hit the ground and rolled towards Jae. She smiled at Noslen in great
glee.
"Thank you, Commander." she snickered, for her and Noslen had been
friends for many years.
"No problem, young one. Care to take a seat on my shoulder and explain
to me why you ventured so far into the wilderness?" Noslen patted his
back, for he was a giant troll and Jae could easily sit upon his shoulders.
About 9 feet in height and 500 pounds in weight, he was the quickest
of all trolls. Learning his skills as a young one, he learned to be
patient and to move quickly out of harms way. Very muscular as well,
his body had ripples all over, and his armor showed it as it shinned
brightly, deflecting the sun away.
"I would love too." she stood quickly and then took to flight, landing
on Noslen's shoulders. She was very short indeed, only about 8 inches
in height and just about a few pounds in weight. Her flittering pixie
wings shuddered back and forth, as she tried aimlessly to straighten
her self out and become comfortable on his shoulder.
She tossed her long white hair to one side and then peered at Noslen,
"I only came to practice my new skills here upon my foes."
Noslen grinned, as he made his way through the forest and back out
onto the bridge over the River Ki. Further up ahead, he could see the
Plains of Gorud and the south gate entrance of Windy Bluff. A little
further up a loud flapping was heard over head...
"What is that?" Jae asked curiously, for she hadn't seen all of the
creatures that had walked the realms.
What Noslen saw next was very wierd. It was a extremely large Shadow
Dragon, They were not common in these parts and were very aggressive
as well. They only came out when in need of food or in search of prey.
Noslen knew he would be unable to fight the creature with just him and
Jae. For Jae was very injured and could do very little to help defeat
the beast.
"Duck down low young one, we can not let this demon see us." Noslen
ducked behind some low cut brush and tucked Jae under his shoulder so
that she was hidden as well. But it was too late, the clanking of his
weapons had caught the attention of the Dragon, and the creature had
spread its wings out all the way, ready to take flight.
Noslen quickly picked up Jae, and sprinted as fast as he could towards
the South gate of Windy Bluff. The only thing he ever saw, was the large
shadow above him, covering the sun from shinning down upon us. As he
made his way through the gate, the guards followed, not assure what
he was bound to do or why he was running.
"Stop right there. Why must you run so fast into our town?" asked
one guard, glaring at Noslen.
"Dragons...." was all that Noslen could spurt out, huffing and puffing
trying to catch his breath.
When, without warning, the large Dragon landed on top of 2 guards,
cutting into their bodies with its gigantic claws. Blood drained to
the ground, creating pools of the red liquid.
"PROTECT THE INNOCENT, BANZAI!" a few guards yelled together,. but
it wasn't any help to them as 2 more giant dragons landed on the ground,
shooting fire out of their mouths and burning the mortals to a crisp.
Noslen, not knowing what to do, ran as fast as he could to his guild
members of the Guild of Fighters, in their guild hall, located in Windy
Bluff. Upon his arrival, Arian and Stych walked over to him to ask him
what was wrong.
"What is it Noslen?" asked Arian, as he stepped forward, handing Noslen
a flask of water to drink from.
Tossing the flask to the ground he looked deep into Stych and Arian's
eyes and spoke, "Dragons.......They are attacking the town as we speak..."
Upon hearing this, Rezyn entered the room followed by Mihelik, Noslen's
brother. "You speak of Dragons..."
"Yes sir. They have already killed many of the guards, nothing and
no one seems to be able to stop the beasts from burning the city down."
Noslen spoke more slowly now, for he was able to catch his breath for
a few seconds.
Rezyn gave a flick of his tail, "Well then, I guess we shall suit
up and take to battle with the guards."
"Are you sure that is what you want to do General?" asked Stych, first
in command of the Guild of Fighters. He was a giant Minotaur Warrior,
with long ivory white horns, protruding from his head.
"Yes, I will not be able to join you now. I must seek the Immortal
Council in the Immortal Realm. They should be able to tell me of what
is happening. Stych you are in command now. Arian, first. You two, take
the rest of the fighters to Town Square and seek the Captain of the
Windy Bluff Guards, he will tell you where to go." Rezyn saluted his
men and they saluted back.
Chapter 2: The Surprise
A battle cry was heard, as Stych crashed into one of the Dragons,
but to his displeasure the creature shook off the pain as if he hadn't
of been hit at all. Jonesy, one of the Guild of Fighters thieves, had
been through the town and found many clerics as well as druids and Ranger
to come to Temple of Tarin and heal the wounded fighters. But it was
useless, there was no point in fighting any longer. The dragons kept
coming and no one could penetrate and kill the creatures...
In the Immortal Realm, Rezyn Omen and other fellow leaders of clans
and guilds sat around with Tatianna, goddess of the stars and Jieni,
Lord of Nature, and spoke about the recent happenings in the lands.
"This must be the work of Seluctruh." Sarvulis stood protesting about
the happenings.
"If so, why has he not shown himself?" Tatianna exclaimed to the group.
"Tatianna has a point," Rezyn looked down, "he would have shown himself
after a stunt like this."
With that a shriek of terror was heard and the Dark Lord, and creator
of the Vampire Race, Lord Seluctruh appeared in front of the group.
"I tell you all it was not me. I have heard you words and threats
and such that I did it, but this is not to my liking either." He glared
at the many people in the room, noticing the pain and rage in their
hearts.
Rezyn and Sarvulis drew their weapons and stood in front of Tatianna
and Jieni. "You shall not pass Seluctruh!" screamed Sarvulis.
Seluctruh only sneered at the little comment and then strided towards
the table. He sat down in a large black chair, that he had transferred
to the table. "It was not me, you can believe it was me all you want,
but the longer you believe it is me, the more the realm is destroyed."
Somehow, Rezyn, with his Katrin Instincts believed Seluctruh, and
could tell he was just as displeased as they all were. "He is telling
the truth."
"How can you tell?" asked Koell, who had just entered the room.
"Greetings Koell." Tatianna spoke kindly to him.
"Ah, it is a pleasure to see you M'Lady." Koell dropped to one knee
and gave her a slight kiss on her hand.
"I must return to my fighters Tatianna. Please transport me to Windy
Bluff so that I can help them battle for now." Rezyn salutes all, and
a large bright light bursts out in front of all and Rezyn is gone.
Chapter 3: The Disappearance
As his tail whipped back and forth, what he saw amazed him. Death.
Bodies everywhere, and only a few of the dozen dragons had fallen. He
couldn't believe, but for the first time in his life, he feared for
the worst of this...
"Where have they gone..." he whispered to himself. He drew his Flametongue
sword and walked further and further into the cast lands of blood and
gore. The sword gave off some light so he could see, but as he searched
further for survivors.........there was nothing.........not even a sign
of his men.........
Back in the Immortal Realm, Koell, leader of the Dawnbringers and
Gelltor, Leader of the Knighthood had just met up with the rest of the
Immortals, trying to figure out what they can do to stop these evil
fiends.
"What shall my Knights do for now?" Gelltor asked.
"As for now, nothing can be done. We have found no weaknesses on these
Dragons. We have no way of stopping these beasts.....we don't even know
who is leading these creatures and giving them the orders to attack
us." Tatianna spoke lightly to Koell and Gelltor.
"M'Lady, I am here to serve you no matter what the consequences are.
I shall gather my Dawnbringers and head to Windy Bluff in order to help
all in their struggles." A small tear rolls down his eyes, as if the
Dawn is no more.
With that, a mist forms in the room and disappears to form Vulcan,
the number one of the Guardians. A average height for a vampire, the
only thing that catches anyone's eyes, would be his bright red hair.
Wavy and thick, that of a god.
Glancing at Tatianna then over at Jieni he takes a deep breath, "There
is no point in going to a town that is no more..."
Everyone gasps suddenly and then are stricken with a sort of dead
silence. "Windy Bluff....Gone?" Seluctruh says, while cringing his fists
and then letting off a few hits to the table in front of him.
.........The Katrin General walked further and further towards the
Temple of Tarin, finding it was gone as well. Not much remained of Windy
Bluff. Guard corpses laid everywhere and not a sign of his guild anywhere.
A faint cry was heard, and he ran to a pile of rubble. Underneath a
few stones, from the temple pillar, was Eftienne, druid of the Guardians,
as well as their Leader............
"Dear Rezyn, it is too late...." a short wince of pain came across
her face as she stared up at the dark Katrin, "I fear the worst for
all. My simple Guardians can not defeat these creatures, for they are
not of average dragons, there is more to the......" and with that, the
great druid known as Eftienne, died in Rezyn's arms.
He slowly slid her wedding band off of her finger, slipping it into
one of his pockets and then lying Eftienne down onto the ground, crossing
her hands over her chest. Slowly he stood up, and heard a noise of flapping
wings as Arcum Mentor appeared in front of Rezyn.
Arcum stood up, only to drop back to his knees, looking at his good
friend Eftienne. 'How' he thinks to himself, 'how can she be dead?'
Why is this all happening, and then a loud screech is heard, like that
of death, as he looks up into the sky, screaming with all his might.
"I am sorry Arcum." Rezyn dipped his head in a slight bow.
"It is ok Rezyn. I shall avenge her death when the time comes and
we all meet the creator of these evil beings." A few tears rolled from
his eyes, but he wipes them away and looks back at Rezyn, "Have you
heard the latest, Eria has been destroyed by these evil dragons." Arcum
said with a faint sound of pain in his voice.
"Dear god, Eria as well?" Rezyn dropped to one knee, feeling sick
to his stomach.
Then without warning, a single dragon lands behind Rezyn and Arcum,
whipping his tail and slamming Arcum into a nearby wall. Rezyn gets
to his feet only to be pinned back down by the Dragons great claws.
Its face comes closer to Rezyn's and a breath of hot dismal air causes
Rezyn to try and squirm for freedom.
"Lets go men!" is all that Rezyn hears before the dragon takes his
claw and stabs it deep into his chest. Rezyn's eyes roll back into his
head, as everything fades to black.
Chapter 4: The Reunion
As Rezyn came to, he saw Noslen in one corner facing him and Stych
in the other. In front of him was Geseg Ramindae, a great Ranger for
the Dawnbringer as well as their number two in command.
"You were very badly hurt their Rezyn. We nearly lost you..." Geseg
said with a slight grin on his face. For he remembered the many fights
they had had in the past. It didn't matter anymore for they needed everyone
to get along in order to defeat what ever it was that was that was minipulating
the dragons.
"Well, since you saved me, I owe you my life. I thank you." Rezyn
showed what seemed to be more of a frown than a smile. "Where are the
rest of my men?"
Noslen stepped forward and looked at the battered Rezyn, "Arian is
not in good shape at all, as for Mihelik, his wear abouts are unknown.
We were disbanded in the battles and I haven't seen him since I had
arrived here with Daigus."
Daigus stepped forward, a slight grin on his face, "The rest of the
Fighter's owe their lives to myself and my men, for we were the ones
that rescued them and brought them here," he then looked at the ground,
"as for Mihelik and the others, I have sent Mia and Starak, two of my
better guild members to find them. They should be returning soon."
Further out in the realm, Starak and Mia stumble upon a few corpses.
One of which is Joonaly, warrior of the Fighters. Another as well is
Fenaly Sonaria, mage of the Dawnbringers as well as their number one.
Starak, told upon request, was to take one item from each of the corpses
to prove the corpse was really theirs. Mia walked to Joonaly's corpse
and grabbed the hair of this creature, taking a massive slice out of
the hair. Starak grabbed the Marble ring and slipped it into his pocket.
*CRASH*
They both ducked under a pile of rubble, but soon noticed the loud
crash was some stones being pushed over by Mihelik DragonsBane and Jonesy,
thief of the fighters. They had both been hurt very badly and needed
to get to the rangers, Geseg and Kisla in order to be healed. Grouped
together, they made their way south and back towards the guild hall
and the rest of the survivors.
Chapter 5: The Face Off
Upon arrival, Mia helped carry Jonesy in and Starak carried Mihelik
into the guild halls of the DarkbrotherHood.
Rezyn, who had just finished strapping down his General's Insignia
Breastplate, ran over to help Mia and Starak carry the battered Fighters
over to a bed to lie them down on.
Suddenly, Geseg and Kisla appeared with Tatianna and Tavlonyl, cleric
of the Shadows to help heal the wounded mortals. Tavlonyl soon started
to heal the wounds of Jonesy as Geseg bandaged the wounds of Mihelik.
Noslen walked to the middle of the room and began to speak with Tatianna.
"M'Lady, what should we do?" stated Noslen.
"For now, lets heal these poor wounded soldiers. I have sent Koell
to gather the Dawnbringers and Gelltor to gather the Knighthood." she
gazed at Noslen.
"We must find a weakness in their body structures." Stych proclaimed
to the group.
Seluctruh stood up and looked at everyone, "We believe we have found
one. A simple blow to the back of these giant creatures, may cause them
to become dazed enough and brought down by our blades and magic."
"If this is true, will the creatures fall?" asked Jonesy
"Aye, they will. But we shall not hide any longer Jonesy." Seluctruh
grinned evilly to the mortals.
"Good. Then Tatianna, find your Tigers and gather them at your temple.
Seluctruh, go in search of the Vampires and Shadows and bring them to
the ruins of the Temple of Moon. Jieni, find the rest of the Guardians
and ready them as well," Rezyn stood and drew his Flametongue sword,
"we shall no longer run from these beasts!
A cheer spilled into the Immortal realm and they all disappeared in
a bright flash of light, to ready the armies.
Chapter 6: The Battle
Rezyn and the rest of the Fighters made their way to Temple of Moon,
being ever so cautious not to startle anyone one, or give away their
current location. Upon their arrival, Stych spotted Halvos and the rest
of his Shadows, as well as Arcum and the many vampires, including his
right hand man Tritoch.
Rezyn makes his way to Arcum, locking wrists with him, and then to
Tritoch, locking wrists with him as well.
"Greetings once again Vampire." Rezyn motions at Tritoch.
"As to you mercenary." Tritoch lets off a sly grin, showing off his
pointed Ivory teeth.
"How goes you Rezyn Omen?" booms a low voice from behind a pilar.
The voice cuts through the air, causing everyone to become silent. Drakan,
Lord of Chaos, steps from behind the pilar. "Suprised?"
Gasping, not sure what to make of it, Rezyn's mouth drops open. How?
He was imprisoned centuries ago inside the Darkstone. How could have
he been released? Drakan cackled with glee as he stared down the mortals.
Turning away, he threw his hands into the air and several of the fire
breathing dragons landed in front of him. "This is the end for your
pathetic mortals, TODAY DARKSTONE TURNS TO......"
A loud roar is all that is heard, as the WhiteTigers emerged from
the forest. Then a bright glow gloomed in front of Sarvulis, as the
Star Goddess, Tatianna transpired.
"Ahh, Drakan, Thief, Lord of Chaos, or rat if that is all that matters."
Tatianna sneered at Drakan.
"I see you still are not happy with me Tatianna. Well in due time
you shall worship me." he glared and grinned evilly at her.
"It is over Drakan. Give yourself up. For there is no escape from
anyone here." Koell appeared with the rest of his fellow Dawnbringers
behind him.
"You will never take over this realm. We shall rid of you like we
did before!" Vulcan screamed at Drakan, "You may have killed Eftienne,
but you shall not kill the rest of us!"
With that, Vulcan took to flight and landed in front of a single dragon.
He took his poisoned dagger and stabbed it deep into the Dragon, but
it didn't even daze the creature. The dragon slammed into Vulcan, leaving
him stunned on the ground. Rezyn yelled a battlecry and everyone charged
towards the Dragons and Drakan.
Stych led a few of the Fighters against one of the dragons, while
Rezyn and Koell attacked another. The Flametongue burned the flesh of
the creature and seemed to cause a sort of pain. It only increased the
anger of the beast as it laid its claws deep into the breastplate of
Rezyn. Koell sent a great Nova upon the beast, cutting deeper into the
wounds, leaving the dragon sort of stunned and bleeding worse. Noslen
jumped high into the air and stabbed the creature with his deathblade,
and then climbed to the top of the creature. With his Trollish Wrath
in one hand, he sliced the head of the Dragon off, and the creature
tumbled to the ground, dead...
Gelltor and his fellow knights prayed to the gods to help them defeat
the creatures as Halvos and Tritoch attacked another one of the many
dragons. Halvos landed on the creature, biting deep into the skin, drinking
its blood. Xodus saw what had happened and flew over to help them. He
drew his great scimitar and sliced into the skin of the Dragon, causing
more and more damage. Then Jae, flew over and let out a massive Nova
that decimated the great creature. Ifrit then took his massive Ice Sword
and chopped off the head of the dragon, killing yet another one.
More and more, the mortal flew in, killing the dragons. Vulcan kneeled
next to Arian who laid dead on the ground, while Rezyn stood next to
the corpses of Noslen and Mihelik, brothers. Koell laid down Geseg who
had fallen in battle, and watched as Janus and Twaine laid Sarvulis
down on the ground as well. The greatest had fallen, but the battle
was far from over. Saperio emerged with his book over magic and glared
at Drakan. He began to read a passage from a single page, as Jonesy
held in his hand a piece of the Darkstone. Slowly, Drakan's soul faded
away into the darkstone, leaving him mortal. Rezyn and Stych stood side
by side and ran at Drakan, smashing into him and leaving his stunned,
while Koell rose into the air and landed a few lighting bolts to Drakan's
skin. Ganat then appeared in front of Drakan and laid his massive Hammer
over Drakan's head, smashing his head into bits of blood and bone. The
horror had finished.
"Drakan has been captured. We shall watch this stone at all times,
for if he is released again, god help us all...."
